Reflection
The Building reflects in the water.
The two housing blocks respects the scale and materiality of the old historical city as well as the newly developed buildings on Aarhus Ø.
The housing blocks mediates the transition from the old historical city on to the expressive newly developed buildings on Aarhus Ø.
Its large, inhabited roofs represent a modern interpretation of the old warehouses on the historical harbourfront. Its scale and materiality create a well balances link between old and new - an important place that connects history and future into two modern housing blocks, on the very edge of the harbourfront.
Harbourfront
Our project relates to the old warehouses situated along the harbourfront.
The two housing blocks consists of individual building - placed shoulder by shoulder - ranging from 5 to 8 floors that mediates the height and scale of both the historical city and the tall buildings on the harbourfront.
The individual buildings compose a moderne interpretation of the historical city blocks.
